Academic Visit to Munich by Our Faculty Members
Prof. Dr. Müge Klein and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Çiydem Çatak, faculty members of the Department of Business Administration at the Turkish-German University; Research Assistants Merve Ahter Dede, Umur Ejder Halhallı, and Esra Eraslan from the Department of Business Administration; and Zehra Halhallı, Research Assistant in the Department of Political Science and International Relations; along with Associate Professor Dr. Ayşe Elif Posos Devrani and Research Assistant İrem Dölen from the Department of Culture and Communication Sciences at the Faculty of Culture and Social Sciences, engaged in academic exchanges with various universities and institutions in Munich, Germany, from June 2–5, 2026, to discuss the development of international collaborations.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ebru Turhan Participated in a Delegation Visit to Berlin on EU–Turkey Relations
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ebru Turhan, a faculty member of our Department of Political Science and International Relations, participated in a delegation visit held between 17–23 May 2026 by the German Federal Foreign Office and the Goethe-Institute. Within the framework of the visit, she joined leading Turkish academics and journalists working on EU–Turkey relations in meetings with prominent German institutions.
Prof. Dr. Ela Sibel Bayrak Meydanoğlu’s Study Receives “Best Paper Award” at an International Conference
A scientific paper co-authored by Prof. Dr. Ela Sibel Bayrak Meydanoğlu, a faculty member in the Department of Business Administration at the Turkish-German University, has been honored with the Best Paper Award at the BiCAB Conference 2026 held in Germany.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ebru Turhan Chaired a Session on EU-Turkey Relations in Brussels
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ebru Turhan, faculty member, attended the scenario workshop "Future Options for EU-Türkiye Relations" organised by the Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies in Brussels on 14 April 2026, which brought together leading scholars and experts in the field of EU-Turkey Relations. She chaired the session on the "Transactional Scenario".

Research Assistant Nur Banu Kartal from the Department of Economics at our Faculty has been awarded the title of Doctor (PhD) with her dissertation entitled “Essays on Behavioral Economics: Non-Cognitive Skills, Relative and Environmental Concerns” The dissertation was prepared within the English Economics PhD program of the Institute of Social Sciences at Yıldız Technical University, under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tolga Aksoy.

Research Assistant Fatih Demir from the Department of Political Science and International Relations at our Faculty has been awarded the title of Doctor (PhD) with his dissertation entitled “From Geopolitical Power to Geo-economic Power: Germany and German Naval Strategy”. The dissertation was prepared within the International Relations program of the Atatürk Strategic Studies and Graduate Education Institute at the National Defence University, under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Evren Mercan.
